Inhale Exhale returns with their third release, packing quite a punch in the process. Bury Me Alive is a much more memorable album than its predecessors.

Bury Me Alive kicks off with "Rooms," though there is nothing really special about it, it serves as a good opener. The next song is definitely one of the highlights of the album. "Did You Ever Have A Touch To Lose?" shows examples of despair and loss of hope, and wraps with the conclusion, "Don't drown yourself in what the world has told you." The lyrics of "Condemned" may strike the listener as extremely violent, but a closer listen reveals that it is all imagery in forgetting your pride and giving your sins over to God.

"A Dark Place For Your Mind To Be" has since been made into a music video, as it deserves. It showcases some very nice precise guitars. "Fiction" is another highlight, telling the story of a person who has lost their family and takes chances with fate. Inhale Exhale closes the album with "An Era," which clearly isn't the best song on the album but is a hard thumper nonetheless and shows off Ryland Raus's clean vocals.

Bury Me Alive was by no means a groundbreaker, but it's hard to say that the band hasn't improved. Inhale Exhale's third outing is a solid metal record that I'd recommend to any metalhead.
