The Hero video was great. Although I think they might've missed an opportunity with that that wouldn't really have cost more.(And I actually thought they'd be doing it for half of the video)

the one you are talking of is a fanmade video......if you look under more info he says so

AS FOR the music vid for hero, the pyro was pretty i must admit... and instead of rose peddles falling from the sky it was rain which is good... they didnt really get a good angle of john doing the guitar flip at the end though, makes it seem like john is angry at the world and was going to throw his bass on the ground because of it :/ ^_^.. BUT i would have to say watching this on 9/11 made the whole firefighters and nurse thing even better.. and im leaving it at that

hero's video is awesome. it would be awesome if they made another one. a video for lucy could be really good. thoughts? or if there was one you think could be a good one?
About videos though, i was thinking... why didnt skillet do a vid for the last night? it could have been really awesome with the story and everything.

Comatose had three videos. But the Looking For Angels video came out a year later.
I would love to see one for Awake and Alive, Never Surrender, or Lucy. I think one for one of the latter two, especially for Lucy, is very likely actually.

I saw that commercial too, it was cool. It's funny how popular Skillet has gotten just since a year or two ago.

Thier song "Hero" is the new promo song for NBC football. "Monster" is the promo song for I think the SEC college football season.

You must've seen them indoors then. The full Skillet experience has to be on a large, outdoors stage. Basically, jets of fire, elevator platforms, strobe lights, giant twirling sparkler things, combined with the awesomeness of Skillet's stage presence... "Awake" may have been a big disappointment for me, but Skillet's live show will NEVER be.

Well some of us can't see them outside. Live indoors will have to do. Hopefully it's still as awesome as people say.

Man did I call that or what? If anybody has been to the Awake and Alive Tour than you know that they only played one ballad off of AAA and kept almost every song from Comatose. They only played 5 songs from AAA in a 15 or so song setlist. Which is good because if they played Don't Wake Me I probably would have had to stick my car keys into my eardrums...

Yeah, but I'm just annoyed because there are all these great Christian bands in the US and they rarely ever leave the states. Give the rest of the world a chance to see them too, that's all I'm saying

Anberlin leaves the states sometimes.
@kbelite: Yes you did call it, although I question their decision. They could've cut Yours to Hold/Better than Drugs, songs that were not even radio hits, for some new tracks from Awake. It's not as if Awake isn't popular. And it would've been nice to hear Never Surrender/Forgiven in their place. And heck, if they cut The Older I Get for Dead Inside, I don't think anybody would be griping. The least they could've done is phase out some Comatose songs, they kept all 8.

normally i would say that since the cd is so farely new, skillet hasnt been playing their newer songs, this way their fans wouldnt be completly bored during the show and they can sing along... BUT the problem about what i just said is the fact that the tour is called Awake and alive Tour, which i would imagine that the fans would get the message and be hyped for hearing those newer songs.. so who knows whats going through peoples heads anymore lol

^^^^Dude, there is one flaw in that argument. Panheads likely memorized those songs the week the CD came out. I think most of them are singing along to them already. lol ;)

well i am very aware of that lol
but it seems like skillet is reaching towards getting newer fans, making it so they kept the old songs that the "not so much panheads" would approve of, THAT is what i was getting to..

AA-MMEEENNNN!! Australian and New Zealand tour please...!
Well, i got the album and am i allowed to give my opinion on it.? The first half is great, second half is boring and Mr Cooper's voice starts to annoy me after the 7th song.

I would imagine it is hugely expensive and a great financial risk for bands to cross the waters and tour other countries. American bands, such as Skillet, would have to be booked by several places in a locality, and they'd have to ensure people would show up so they can pay for their airfare, equipment flight, hotels and dining while there! It's not just John Cooper's decision; in fact I'm sure they'd enjoy some out-of-contiguous-travel! Be sure to support the American bands when they ARE there, so other bands can see there would be support for them if they were to venture to your lands! (See how popular Hillsong United's tours are when they come to the U.S.!)

So, I just bought Awake this weekend. And I have heard WAY better from Skillet. Their glory days: Skillet- Hey, You, I Love Your Soul- Invincible- Alien Youth- and Collide. It all goes down hill from there.

For me, it goes Collide, Alien Youth, Comatose, old stuff (I didn't really like them much back then; they had some okay songs, but that was all), Awake.

@gymdude - Yeah, that is true. Over here in New Zealand we get the Parachute festival which is a whole bunch of Christian bands coming over here from the states. So that's my fix of Christian music for the year...FF5 Casting Crowns and DCB came last year. It's going to be pretty hard to top that.
Otherwise, it is very expensive to fly over here. I agree..and there is a very small market for Christian music in NZ.

Sorry, but you must be a mainstream music lover. Mainstream sucks. Ever heard any of their older music????
 Skillet's older music I mean.

While I can't answer for Show, I have heard their older stuff and it is good, but most of the time nothing to write home on. Though it is more original than what they are doing now, I prefer their new stuff. And as for me, I'm not a mainstream rock junkie at all
