Haha yeah I might too, I dunno if I'll make it. I'm hoping I can the only thing that has me worried is the one I'd be going to is on a sunday night so I'd have to miss church.

Hero sounds like something off of Comatose, and Monster sounds like a song by Three Days Grace. Monster is pretty good but Hero is just ok.

No, I like them both. There is now a better version of the song Hero. Link is on the New Album thread in the Skillet Forums.
I think I still like monster better. I'll officially have an opinion after I see both live tomorrow.

That version of Hero sounds a little better. The thing about Skillet is
that their songs usually sound better live than on the studio versions,
so we'll have to wait and see. They're decent songs. Hero just sounds a
little generic, like I've heard it before. Monster is the same way to a
certain extent, but mainly because I listen to a lot of modern rock.

^Only problem is, recording Skillet's live sound doesn't generally bring about the same results as seeing them live.

when i was listening to monster, i was like, alright not bad... than all the sudden the lowest voice screamed feel like a monster, making the song 3x better :]
unfortunatly, the youtube vid i found for hero, had terrible quality :/ so i could barely hear what the song was... but it seemed interesting to me

Man I wish I was going to see them tomorrow.... Lol anyways Monster is totally awesome, I've been listening to it a ton. The monster scream is sweet, can't get enough of it...
Anyways I'm gonna check out the better version of Hero.

I heard Hero and Monster on YouTube. Both of the songs were amazing! The video for Hero had terrible quality, but what I could make out sounded pretty good. Monster is still my favorite, though. Wasn't expecting the monster growl! It sounds like they're moving in more of a Thousand Foot Krutch or Three Days Grace direction.

Nah... I don't think they've released the title yet.
But yeah I've heard the two new songs, they are good. I like them equally but the monster growl on Monster is awesome... Although the guitar on Hero is really cool

I didn't even hear a growl, do you mean a scream or something else? lol BUT, I could get a good feel of Hero. I do agree that it seems like something from Comstose, which is a BIG plus in my book, love that album. It sounds awesome.

Yeah I heard just recently it was Awake and Alive...
The growl is a little after the two minute mark in most videos. It sounds like a monster growl, its really sweet.

So, could these be like the lead singles releases of Awake?(similar to the Rebirthing/Whispers release for Comotose?)
While the album isn't until August, it's reasonable to expect the lead single(s) by June, or even as early as May.

I think its "Awake", "Awake and Alive" is supposedly the song that gave inspiration to the title of the album.

I think "Awake" is the album title and the "title track" is actually "Awake and Alive." I guess another example of this is Needtobreath's debut album being named "Daylight" but with the track that title comes from being actually named "Don't Wait For Daylight."
