I am surprised they're adding another song after I thought the song was finalized.
BTW, Monster is hearable online if you go on the Skillet forum and look around a bit. It's AWESOME. Bad news: No Growl. Good news: It's kicking awesome Skillet rock, so it doesn't matter! :D

Yeah it was pretty sweet but the studio version rocks! The awesomeness of it makes it okay that there isn't a growl. But it still would sound sweet with a growl

Well they now have a page on Amazon for Monster which says it will be released July 14th. So seeing as when Amazon posted Hero and they said it would be released on June 30th, iTunes did it the same day too. So I can't wait for July 14th!!

It's really not that different from Comatose. There were only 2 songs on there above 4 minutes. So, hopefully with this 12th song added, the total length of Awake should be pretty much the same as Comatose.

Well I am just plumb excited for Awake!!! I have been counting down ever since they posted the release date. 51 days!!!!!!!!
Amazon.com!!! Just go to Mp3 downloads and type in Skillet. Hero is the only song on there so far...

hey fellow panheads (since 1996, right here! ;) ). Been listening to "Awake" off and on for the past 2 weeks... hopefully it'll grow on me, but it's A LOT like Comatose... to the point where it can be considered an extension of it. Not sure it's as good as Comatose either. So I don't know. Favorite tracks - so far - are "Hero," "Monster," and "Sometimes." We'll see though. I won't give an official verdict via "PReview" till I have a good handle on it (plus I hate writing negative or even 'blah' reviews of bands I have loved and still do). First impression though? Not their best, but it's nice to have new Skillet tunes, y'know? (of course you do! :) ). ~ John
P.S. no 12th song on our review copy and haven't heard from anyone promoting the record that there will be a 12th song, but hopefully there will be. It is pretty short. Perhaps they'll just use it as an iTunes bonus or something? Or on the inevitable deluxe edition in the future? Who knows...

^^^ Yeah I listened to it last night and I would have to agree. It sounds similar to Comatose but not nearly as good, not enough hard rock. My favs are Sometimes and Never Surrender.

I just saw a new track listing and it has a 12th song called Believe.
I don't mind Comatose Pt. 2. I loved Comatose. And so far, the songs still sound awesome. I am still excitied.

It was on insideREVOLUTION. They have a totally reordered track list that includes a 12th track.

Show, It's not correct. If you notice, all of the tracks are in alphabetical order except for the added 12th track. The tracklist we posted is the most common and the one that the CD we received is ordered in.

First time I heard it, I was listening to the record in a dark room with the lights out (no joke). When the creepy monster voice came on near the end, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Haha I wonder, though, if it would have been cooler if Cooper screamed it or growled it without any effects?
