i haven't bought a rap cd in 2 1/2 years..unless you count tobymac. since then i only listened to christian rock/emo/punk/metal/screamo, etc. i'm black (well kinda black..i'm half black and half filipino) so some people at my school, mostly the black kids, think that's weird.
but i like crossmovement, gym class heroes, the ambassador, john reuben and grits.

tobyMac is the best hip-hop.

KJ-52 is the funniest and most "in your face" Jesus lyrics.

Grits is really good.

I love the 116 Kliq : LeCrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, I also like Flame, and a few others, but I own a DVD set from Ex-ministries
It does some research on Hip-Hop artists, Christian and no-christian alike, and shows some of the things they are into behind the scenes, and after watching it, there are some christian rappers/hip-hop artists who I will not listen to anymore, becauser the holy-spirit has convicted me about them.

this is not to say you can't, but i encourage you to check this stuff out and search it for yourself.

Well, I'm not much into rap, but... I really like the ApologetiX versions of Eminem songs. "Look Yourself" (parody of "Lose Yourself") and "The Real Sin Savior" (parody of "The Real Slim Shady") are just purely amazing. I have never listened to Eminem, and never will. But... For anyone who does like him, I reccomend these songs.

I don't care for rap, but I'd have to say I like RedCloud, Early Pillar, and The Flame.

^Hahaha.  The best part is, I read those and thought you were serious.  Rap artist's names are so obnoxious sometimes that stuff like that is believable.

I don't usually listen to rap either, but I do enjoy John Reuben.  I think of him as the Jonathan Swift of hip hop.  Lyrical satire at it's very best.

Some hip-hop I listen to Bobby Bishop, Braille, Da Truth, Deepspace 5, Everyday Process, Kaboose, K-drama, Knine, Knowdaverbs, Lyrycyst, Ohmega Watts, Othello, Page One, Phanatik, Redcloud, Furthermore, Listener, and Lojique.

Lojique would have to be my favorite. Their album Language Arts is one of the best hip-hop albums I have ever heard. Page One is one  of the best emcee's I have heard, ever. Othello's flow is great. Just because's beats are chill.

+1

Lecrae right now is my fav, enjoying the new Rehab album.

I listen to some B.B. Jay & T-Bone, but maybe it's just me but they seem a little arrogant/materialistic sometimes...?

There's a lot in this thread thought that I've not heard yet and I'll go check them out...
