check out Canopy Climbers! They are some pretty dang awesome indie goodness, IMO, as good as many a secular one, but they are totally openly Christian! Beautiful, soft, electronic indie goodness! ^_^

EDIT: lemme reiterate. These. Guys. Are. Amazing. As more or less described by a reviewer, an amazing blend between mutemath, paper route, and radiohead.

It took me a while to get used to, but I have really grown fond of these guys. I have even talked to their lead singer through facebook and they really seem dedicated to spreading the gospel throughout Japan.

I've got another site that is about Christian music not my band. It's called, "Music Switch." It's meant to help christians switch from listening to ungodly music. (lil wayne, etc.) to christian music. Especially if they don't know any christian rap bands or other type's of christian music. Soon I'll be finished but untill then you can still tell people about and visit it.
thanks. bye.

Shonlock is my new favorite band, I saw them in concert in June, and I bought their album and got it signed. I don't typically like rap/hip-hop, but Shonlock is amazing. Their song Something In Your Eyes was pretty popular earlier this year so I don't know if they're considered "unknown," but I don't know anybody else who's even heard of them.

hey guys! been awhile since i been on this thread...

if you wanna hear another up and coming indie Christian band listen to my band "Hear Me Out" on facebook. we have around 900 likes right now, and just put our new single up for free download. So yeah, we're in it to make friends and play music, and in doing so love on teens and show them that Christ is the only true love in this world and the next.

Some friends of mine are in a band called Red Letter. They have a pop/rock vibe similar to Relient k. The singer also has a metalcore side-project called Elenora that just released a teaser video for a cover ep coming out soon. Check em out if you get the chance.

hey dudes. Just wanted to rep these guys, now that they're giving their music away for free & see your guys' take. They take you on an epic, introspective journey of faith, with wall-of-sound multiple musical layers, ranging from piano, and beautiful abstract, yet down to earth, wonderful lyrics imo. I think one review said twas like a mash up of paper route, mutemath, and radiohead.
Personal highlights are Break, Painting, Lazarus, and Choke.

Witzend is very good. I'm pretty sure they're a Christian band. If not I'd be surprised.

Another good one is Relentless Flood.
And of course Forthangel if nobody's mentioned them yet.

They just got signed to Facedown, but check out Those Who Fear. Awesome beatdown hardcore. Like Gideon, only a lot heavier, and angrier. (Not in a bad way. Their lyrical content is amazing.

Also, a few more to note. Most of these are on Blood & Ink records.

Debtor - Melodic Hardcore. VERY passionate and raw for The Lord.
Friends - Pop Punk. Not to be confused with Real Friends, which is another pop punk band that isn't a Christian band.
With Increase - Melodic Hardcore
From The Eyes Of Servants - Melodic Hardcore. Sounds just like Take It Back. Their record is available for free.
All Became New - Hardcore. They sound like Stray From The Path, and have a song with Tommy Green from Sleeping Giant.
Redeemer - Melodic Hardcore. Also sounds like Take It Back.
Strengthen What Remains - Beatdown Hardcore.
Leaders - Super heavy metalcore. They're on Facedown records, and they are SUPER heavy. Pretty much hardcore dancing/pit music.

They're not unknown, but xLooking Forwardx is fantastic. Can't go wrong.

Also, anyone know any kind of bands that sound like Title Fight or Citizen? Any unsigned/not well known Post Hardcore/Indie music?

DEF not. Saw them a few days ago, and they called out a guy in one of their songs with a racy title, saying he was a (edited by mod - cussing not permitted, even if "disguised"). That was just one thing they did. Maybe they're Christians, but definitely not a Christian band.

Some rad dudes in Dynasty just dropped their second full length record on Facedown records today. Check them out, they're Hardcore, in the footsteps of NIV, Madball, Terror, and H20. Also, they're friends with some rad dudes in Isolation A.D., a Christian straight edge band.
