Anybody else heard the rumor? What would you think about a possible Audio Adrenaline reunion, but with Kevin Max thrown in the mix?

Yeah, I've been hearing that rumor lately too, and Kevin's started hinting at it a bit on his fb too, but no one's saying anything "official" yet. Not sure about this one. I loved Audio Adrenaline, but the thought of Kevin fronting them seems really weird to me. (But Tait fronting Newsboys seemed weird to me when that news broke too.) It's like 90s hybrid time these days.
Jury is still out for me on this one. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works out well. On the good side...maybe someone could organize a tour of Audio A, Newsboys, and Toby Mac, with a special appearance by dcTalk? Now THAT would sell out in half a heartbeat. (But that begs the question-who would headline it?)

Kevin's been dropping hints on his Twitter too. He even posted a picture of himself and Mark Stuart at his birthday party yesterday.
Don't know anything about Audio Adrenaline (other than "Big House") so I don't know how Kevin would fit with their style. But with a voice like his, how can you go wrong?
I'm all in with that Audio A/Newsboys/Tobymac/dc Talk tour too.
Edit: Whoa. You know who knows about this? jesusfreakhideout.com! I just went to Audio A's artist profile here. It lists them as being back as of 2012. And then it has blanks next to lead vocals and guitars. Go check it out! Plus, yesterday I was reading K-Max's happy birthday tweets, and our own John DiBiase tweeted him. He said something like, "May God bless the works of your HANDS AND FEET." That was a wink-wink if I ever saw one...

Yeah, I caught John's "Hands and Feet" reference too, but hadn't looked at the Audio A artist profile lately. Very, very interesting...

I've heard this rumor as well, and I don't think it's a good idea. KMax's refined style would not mesh with Audio A's signature rowdiness.

Well, it's official!! Kevin Max is now the lead singer of Audio Adrenaline, with Stu G (formerly of Superchick) as lead guitarist. CCM magazine reported this last night. More importantly JFH changed their Audio Adrenaline artist profile. :-) Looks like I'll be brushing up on my Audio A now. Congratulations Kevin. Thoughts, people?

While I like the idea of a Max/G/McGuinness/Byers supergroup, I don't know if I like the idea of them being called "Audio Adrenaline" with only one original member. Thru all their changes Mark Stuart and Will McGuiness were the heart of the band, and I just can't see Kevin Max just "covering" Audio A songs. That said, I will give the band a shot, and I definitely look forward to the new material.
Oh, and Stu G was in Delirious?, not Superchick.

crazy news, huge development! can't wait to hear what they come up with. gotta agree with most everyone else who thinks it's a bit wrong to use the Audio A name when, honestly, this line-up would have likely been pretty dang marketable without it. But i'm not stressing, just looking forward to the new music. And Kevin Max rocking out to "Big House" and "Get Down" should be fun

hey friends! yeah, sorry for the Stu G blunder. Will had told me Stu G, so when I posted the report, that was the last I'd heard. Apparently when CCM leaked the news (the band wanted to wait to announce it next month), they had listed Dave as the guitarist. I checked with Will and he confirmed Dave as the guitarist. Crazy, times!
...and the tunes I've heard, I assure you, are very good. I miss Mark Stuart, but at least they got a killer vocalist in K-Max (although, admittedly, he seems an odd fit personality wise for a band like AA)

@Catchafire -- haha! You caught both of those nuggets, eh? (twitter and AA profile). That's awesome. :) I thought the 'hands & feet' remark was subtle just enough ;) Nice catch!

@JFHadmin : Yeah, I'm always watching! Kevin retweeted some his birthday messages and yours caught my eye. I figured if anybody had the inside scoop on Audio A, it would be you. And I was right!

I'm sure the music will be good...I'm not familiar with some of the new band members, but of course Will is awesome, Kmax has an incredible voice (though this whole thing is still weird), and Dave Ghazarian is an amazing guitarist. I saw him play with Peter Furler twice. I think the thing that still messes with my head is the name. I guess time will tell, huh? Any ETA on the new album, or at least a first single?

PryeBall -- they privately let me hear demos. They're not online.
I think they're aiming for a 2013 release. With the news leaked earlier than they planned, I don't know if that will change the scheduling/plans at all?

I was a might shocked when I heard lol.
My Tait in Newsboys and my K-Max in Audio Adrenaline.............wut is this reality? If someone told the 6 year old me this I wouldn't buy it.
(wow it's been a while since I've been on here lol)

@guitargeekette -- seriously! If someone told 14-year-old me that this was gonna happen when I was seeing my first AudioA show, I wouldn't believe it. It still just sounds so bizarre and 'alternate-dimension'...
What's a real kicker to me, too, is if you look at Newsboys' "Thrive" DVD from years ago, Tait shows up and does a guest vocal spot. And then in Audio A's 1993 album "Don't Censor Me," Kevin Max sings a duet with Mark Stuart on "My World View"
FORESHADOWING!! :)

Yeah, I thought the same thing with the Thrive dvd John. And "My World View" as well. I keep saying it, but...crazy!
It kind of feels like someone took the most well-known 90s CCM and put it in a blender...

This is like Michael Tait in the Newsboys. This band isn't Audio Adrenaline at all. It's just Will and other guys. They should have a new name for the band.

I guess this is the official announcement they wanted to make from the beginning? Some key points: *Mark Stuart is still involved in the songwriting and production *Tyler and Ben were asked to be a part of it but they're busy *New single out in November, new album out in the Spring, and a music video is being filmed for the new single *All proceeds of the album go to the Hands and Feet charity

Alright, the Kings & Queens video is up on Godtube and Youtube. I think the song's sound is a little generic, but the lyrics are good. And of course KMax's vocals are impeccable. Thoughts, anyone?

The video was ok-the kids were cute and it was fun to see Mark on there briefly. K-Max's voice is good, though you didn't see the rest of the band very much, but in the context of the video it worked. As for the song itself...good message, but I wouldn't consider that song particularly catchy or memorable.
