Lyrics:
A battle rages deep in me, not one that human eyes can see Struggling that I might be, liberated and set free Don’t have to be afraid, to face another day It’s not my fight, to win tonight, it’s Yours It’s not my place, to bear this pain, it’s Yours Just when I think it’s at an end, hurting presses in again Broken and so bruised within, sometimes I think I’ll never win I believe what You say, that You’ll take it all away So hard to hide this fight I have inside I give it to You, now that I realize

Behind the Song: "We were leading worship at a youth conference with about 3500 students. We were talking back stage with the pastor one night. He described his sermon to us, told us how the altar call would go, and asked us to play whatever we felt went with it. In his description to us, the last words he spoke were “It’s not our fight to win; it’s His.” After scratching those words on a napkin, I went into the hallway of the conference center and wrote the chorus. We ended up playing that chorus over and over that night, and it really caught on. I finished the song soon after the conference, and it ended up becoming one of our most requested conference songs that year." - Shane Bowers (Julian Drive)
