Lyrics:
Once they know, then the secret is out I gotta fight my way in through the perilous route set aside my doubt, move away from fear let ʻem know Iʼm back, and they ainʼt even near more than would appear, any if not at all try to fall in line but itʼs not influential (when the battle begins it never seems to end but Iʼm a stand in the gap until you say when) This is more than an ending, less than resolution I want to stop but you got me using Any excuse to reduce and pay no mind So alone, since I crossed my sand line Drop me in the middle, hold me when Iʼm told Deeper into descent, itʼs out of my control Time and in this place, in case I never win I want to be complete, but Iʼm at it again Itʼs like a rock, itʼs a sound, look at everyone around They can see that itʼs me cominʼ from the underground Down from the gutter, where they utter the name In case you didnʼt know, we all in it the same How could I explain, no way to ever tell Well into my prime, this time itʼs personal I wanna battle but fold, just do what Iʼm told Intention was not enough once sin took hold You wanna tear me apart you wanna break me in two But your smokescreenʼs something I can see right through Why did you think, itʼs a plan that we keep, in pursuit of the only divine All the pain we can take, then we always mistake, yours when in fact it is mine
Benjiman, Casey Mesurvey
Behind the Song: 'Sin is a Disease.......The Bible says sin full grown equals death...... Sin is sly, it almost
seems like truth, or acceptable, until it swallows you whole and you feel trapped. I
compare the deceit of a sinful life to a smokescreen the devil puts up for our
entertainment. It's like a twisted puppet show we never realize were the star of until it's
almost to late....almost....you see the devil may have tied marionettes to our arms and
legs trying to kill us, but Jesus Christ steps into the middle of the show and cuts down
every single binding rope. But we have to be willing to step away from the production.
we have to be willing to see right through the smokescreen and enter into forgiveness
and peace through Jesus Christ.' - Benjiman
