The event, seen on GMC last year and ranked as one of the “Top 3 Must-See Events during Super Bowl Weekend” by USA Today, will be recorded live from Symphony Hall in Phoenix, AZ site of Super Bowl XLII this Friday night, Feb. 1. The show will feature the first-ever NFL Players All-Star Choir, which will be directed by the great Donnie McClurkin and invited guests include Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy; Pro-Bowl selection and Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis, fellow pro-bowler Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears and players from each of the NFL’s 32 teams.

Joining McClurkin in performances will be gospel music favorites Patti Labelle, CeCe Winans, Marvin Winans, and Martha Munizzi along with other top NFL players making appearances. McClurkin co-hosts the evening with David Mann, aka Mr. Brown from Tyler Perry’s House of Pain television series and Perry’s movies.

Wal-Mart returns as sponsor of GMC’s telecast of Super Bowl Gospel Celebration 2008, which will have numerous encores on GMC, including Sunday, February 10 (10 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET), prior to the NFL Pro Bowl game. (For telecast times, visit www.gospelmusicchannel.com.)

A highlight of the concert (www.superbowlgospelcelebration.com) will be the appearance of the NFL Players Choir, gathered together for the first time and exclusively for the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. McClurkin directs the Choir for the show’s finale of I’m Walking. The all-star roster scheduled for the NFL Players All-Star Choir includes:
