Mary Mary WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 18, 2009) - Grammy Award winning gospel superstars Mary Mary have been chosen as one of the few gospel performers who will be an intricate part of the many prestigious events surrounding the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. This has been quite an impressive year for the dynamic duo sisters, Erica & Tina Campbell. From their chart-topping album, The Sound, to their three 2009 Grammy nominations for the album and their hit single, “Get Up” as well as a 2009 NAACP Award nomination for Best Contemporary Gospel album, it’s the year of Mary Mary and nobody knows it better than those who invited them to be a part of history.

Some of the events where Mary Mary will appear include:

Sunday, January 18, 2009
The Links Society Benefit honoring President-Elect Barack Obama (performance)
Declare Yourself Inaugural Kick-Off Celebration hosted by Jessica Alba

Monday, January 19, 2009
Congressional Black Caucus Prayer Luncheon w/ Bishop Desmond Tutu (performance)
Inaugural Reception hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton

Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Official Swearing In Ceremony of President-elect Barack Obama
BET Inaugural Ball

Soon you will be able to see Mary Mary reprise their role as judges for the hit Viacom/Black Entertainment Television (BET) series Sunday’s Best and the gospel sensations are in the process of finalizing plans for their first US tour in two years.
