(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) June 6, 2013 - Award-winning singer/songwriter Brandon Heath wraps an eventful week, headlining another successful "Love Your Neighbor" benefit concert, while also participating in activities surrounding the first-ever K-LOVE Fan Awards.

Heath and renowned producer and songwriter Jason Ingram hosted their sixth annual "Love Your Neighbor" benefit concert to a standing-room-only crowd at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tenn. The locally-minded show raised more than $16,000 through audience donations for New Hope Academy, a privately-funded pre-Kindergarten thru sixth grade school in Franklin, Tenn., which exists to serve low-income families with free tuition for its classical education.

The free event featured intimate, one-of-a-kind performances from Heath, Ingram and special guests, including GRAMMY-winning artist tobyMac, American Idol alum Mandisa and GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Laura Story. In a songwriter-in-the-round style, Heath performed several songs including his hit "Jesus In Disguise," new single "Love Does" and Ingram performed OSS worship-anthem "Forever Reign." tobyMac performed favorites "Get Back Up" and "City On Our Knees" with Mandisa bringing everyone to their feet with her hits "Stronger" and "Good Morning."

Heath and Ingram created "Love Your Neighbor" in May 2008, and the annual event has now raised more than $156,000 for Nashville and surrounding area needs. To find out more, or to donate to New Hope Academy, please visit

The K-LOVE Fan Awards is the first fan-voted award show in Christian music history. Heath participated in the weekend's events which included an exclusive fan concert Friday night, a meet and greet with fans on Saturday morning and culminated in the awards show at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium Saturday night. Heath was a featured performer alongside Matt Maher and MercyMe's Bart Millard at the awards and also conducted a special sports Q&A onstage with the winner of the K-LOVE Sports Impact of the Year Award, NHL's Mike Fisher of the Nashville Predators.

About Brandon Heath:
Since Brandon Heath's debut on Reunion Records with Don't Get Comfortable (2006), he has become one of Christian music's most beloved and respected artists and songwriters.

Heath has twice been honored as GMA Male Vocalist of the Year (2009 and 2010), additionally garnering an Emmy Award, five GRAMMY nominations, an American Music Award nomination and multiple GMA Dove Awards and songwriting honors. His award-winning songs and signature vocals reflect a soaring radio career that includes four No. 1 hits: "I'm Not Who I Was," "Wait and See," the 2009 GMA Dove Award-winning Song of the Year, "Give Me Your Eyes" and the eight-week chart topper, "Your Love."

Heath, a Nashville native, first began writing at age 13. His artistry and ability to connect with audiences have compelled countless media outlets across the nation to platform his story and music. Highlights include Billboard magazine, "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric," Relevant magazine, a 2011 feature by the Wall Street Journal and selection as a presenter during the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Other key spotlights include Discovery Channel's "On The Case With Paula Zahn," which highlighted "Give Me Your Eyes" (What If We 8/19/2008), and a feature by The New York Times Sunday edition, touting Heath as a GRAMMY-nominated newcomer "that shouldn't be allowed to slip through the cracks." Heath's fourth studio album and latest release, Blue Mountain, released October 9, 2012. For more information on Brandon Heath, please visit: and follow Brandon Heath's Twitter at

About "Love Your Neighbor"
The "Love Your Neighbor" event is an annual free benefit concert, born out of the hearts of Christian music leaders Brandon Heath and Jason Ingram, to support local needs within the Nashville and surrounding communities. Over the last five years, a variety of beneficiaries have been helped by the show. In 2008, $20,000 was raised for Nashville area tornado victims. In 2009, David, a local Centennial High School student, lost his father, his health insurance, and was at risk of losing his vision without access to a necessary eye surgery. "Love Your Neighbor" covered the total cost of the medical attention David needed and his vision was restored. In 2010, more than $61,000 was collected for El Shaddai Church in south Nashville that was severely damaged by flooding. In 2011, gathering raised more than $25,000 for the Lee family who was affected by the devastating tornadoes in Alabama. Last year's event raised more than $14,000 for Young Life Capernaum, an outreach for students with physical and mental disabilities.
