This album could be the most anticipated album to come out of Facedown in my local scene. They had really built off their previous work and they had a lot of the underground rallying behind them. I was able to catch For Today on tour and "White Flag" hit differently live. Lyrically, Breaker is masterful. Musically, it's exactly what metalcore strived to be during this era.
Being an addict myself, this album really resonates with me. It's both haunting and authentic. "Most Days" and "Poison" still give me chills even after years of listening. Musically, it still holds up almost a decade later.
This album should have gotten a lot more recognition. It was ahead of its time. Death Sentence is one of the most brutal albums to be released by Facedown.
Comeback Kid is my favorite hardcore band. I love all of their work. This album is fast and energetic. I replay it often when I need a pick-me-up.
I really dig listening to just the instrumentals of this album when I pray. Instrumentally, this album is unlike any other. Aaron Stone brings a massive amount of talent and I'm a huge fan of his vocals.
This band is extremely underrated outside of the Facedown circle. This is one of the best albums to come from the underground music scene. Each song makes me feel electric and the lyrics take you on a journey. This album means the world to me.
Every Sleeping Giant album is special, but this one has the weight of being their last outing (to date). The entire album is a powerhouse of heavy-hitting tracks mixed with lyrics that can inspire any believer. With guest vocals from Mattie Montgomery, Garrett Russell, Ryan Clark, Bruce LePage, and Brooke Reeves, this album is loaded, but the real prize is the overall vibe of God's love that shines more brightly than ever through the passion displayed by Sleepy G. This album is a statement of who Sleeping Giant is and who we are by having listened to them across their career.
The first time I heard "Gang Signs," it was over: I was hooked. This album, to this day, gives me chills on tracks like "I've Seen" and "He Will Reign," while tracks like "Sons of Thunder," "Gang Signs," and "No One Leaves This Room Sick" give edifying lyrics with sick riffs!
This album really made me realize how amazing Plea was. "The Eternal Female" alone could carry this album. It changed underground heavy music.
Josh Schroeder nailed Plea's sound like never before producing this album. This album is authentic and way beyond its time. Listening to it in 2022, it definitely holds up with modern albums. My favorite track is "The Life."
