Mark Harris
The Line Between The Two

Artist Info: Discography
Album length: 10 tracks: 38 minutes, 23 seconds
Street Date: June 7, 2005

Singer, songwriter, and 4HIM member, Mark Harris has stepped out and written a solo album. A Line Between the Two is Mark's first solo album since starting out in the award-winning group, 4HIM, in 1990. From the first note on "For the First Time" to the last note of "Until," Mark sings about life and how we live our 'dash.'

One of the most noticeable things on the album is the heart and passion behind each song. The listener can truly tell that Mark has put himself into every note and every word on this album and allowed himself to be more personal than when he writes for 4HIM. It is also rather clear by just listening to the album that he has entrusted God to lead him in his writing. Throughout the album, you can hear Biblical references.

An example of this personal side is "Find Your Wings." This song was written and dedicated to his children and talks of parental love. This song is powerful, even to those without children. The songs "For the First Time," "Find Myself In You," and "Ordinary Life," are about letting go and letting God take control. "Carry the Light" represents reaching out and being Jesus to others. "Hello to Goodbye" and "The Line Between the Two" are both written about how we live the 'dash' between the day we are born and the day we die. "Wish You Were Here" was written from the perspective of someone who has already passed on to be in God's presence, and offers hope. Finally, "Speak to Me" and "Until" encourage the listener to wait on the Lord and His timing.

Even though Mark is the one who wrote most of 4HIM's number one songs, don't expect to hear any guest appearances from the guys or the quartet's sound on this album. This album is strictly Mark Harris and ventures slightly away from the 4HIM sound. However, if you are a fan of 4HIM, you will enjoy this album and be blessed.
