When you think you are safe after killing off the one your lover loves and you find yourself face-to-face with the murderer in the mirror and you can't run anymore, you might find a time to stop and pause and reflect with the reflection. And when you do this, you will find a song like this: “Matthias Replaces Judas” by Showbread. The emotional release we enter into in this album is more important to our spiritual growth than we might realize. Most of us don't simply listen to it; we can't. We survive by it, release to it. We press rewind on our lives like a cassette tape we can record over. Penance, punishment, acceptance, enlightenment, is not nihilism, sir. So don't act like you don't care.
- Leanor Till of the bands Five Iron Frenzy and The Fast Feeling
