#19. The Almost
Southern Weather
Release Date: April 3

 |
With their debut release approaching on April 3rd, The Almost pledge to be anything but “Aaron from Underoath’s other band.”
With a solid live show and a promising single in “Southern Weather,” The Almost is definitely a band to watch in 2007.
The only question remaining is how will the success of this band affect Underoath?

I got a chance to see these guys play a few weeks back. Gillespie was at the top of his game, and it was obvious that this one of
the better "side projects" to come along in some time. Needless to say, I'm stoked to hear the record. Get ready for some
southern infused rock 'n roll.

Known as the multitallented longtime drummer/singer/sonwriter for
emo/metal powerhouse band Underoath, Aaron Gillespie is ready to
release his long in coming Tooth & Nail solo debut under the band name
The Almost. Not exactly the hard metal style of Underoath, The Almost
blends genres of emo/punk, and alternative rock for an attractive and
very popular sound. No doubt this solo project will storm both
Christian and secular rock radio in 2007.
