For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we're doing things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we're splitting the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and July to December (Click here for Part 2). Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012. So, without further ado, we give you Highlighting First-Half 2012!

#11. Sent By Ravens
Mean What You Say

Release Date: February 28, 2012
Sent By Ravens was an exciting addition to the Tooth & Nail roster in 2010, and their debut Our Graceful Words was a pretty solid first step toward a memorable career. With plenty to improve upon, little tinkering and experimenting on Mean What You Say can have the potential to upgrade the quintet's status from good to great. Can they avoid the sophomore slump?
        - Roger Gelwicks

While The Effects of Fashion and Prayer and Our Graceful Words caught my attention, I am looking for Sent By Ravens to step up into the spotlight. I believe this band has potential to be more than just your everyday Christian rock outfit and I am hoping they will prove it with their 2012 release.
        - Michael Weaver

I really enjoyed Our Graceful Words and am very excited to see what comes out this time around. Can they grow musically and become a great rock band or will they falter like so many others do on sophomore releases?
        - Kevin Hoskins

Sent By Ravens did so much right with their debut album, Our Graceful Words, that it was surprising it didn't get more recognition. With two years experience under their belt, I expect that Mean What You Say will be one of 2012 top rock albums.
        - Nathaniel Schexnayder
