Album Cover
#9. The Gray Havens
She Waits

Release Date: October 5, 2018
Though their lyrical style seems to be shifting away from fantastical retellings of the gospel to more literal songs, they still go about it in a fun, unique way. They’ve also been good at expanding on their style to keep things fresh and it’s exciting to see what comes next.
        - John Underdown

Their Fire & Stone album took me by surprise but quickly won me over. The follow up, Ghost of A King threw me, but I eventually ended up loving it as well. What will album number three hold? If history holds true, there may be another masterpiece to add to their body of work. I, for one, have no doubt that whatever the musical direction, this will be a fantastic release.
        - Josh Balogh

These guys are just great. Their singing, their musicianship, and their storytelling combine to create some of the best acoustic folk music you can find these days. This new album will surely be a must-own for fans.
        - Scott Fryberger

The Gray Havens have an irresistible charm about them that makes it hard for anyone to truly dislike them even if they aren’t drawn towards Dave Radford’s vocal stylings. Their utter lack of cynicism on Fire & Stone and their fascinating imagery on Ghost of a King is a great setup for She Waits, which I have no doubt will be the duo's most mature and interesting album to date.
