In communion, perfect union. In the mystery eternal
With the Father and the Spirit
And the Son you’ve always been and are And are to come

Always in your perfect unity Always a perfect family

Your voice broke out like a wave of mercy You desired for us to be known
Your blood shed freely was the price to heal me From the beginning, you knew, what it would cost

That which was from the beginning
Which our eyes have seen, we touched, we heard
Was with God and was God, the Life, the Light the Living Word You are the Word

Always in your perfect unity Always a perfect family

Your voice broke out like a wave of mercy You desired for us to be known
Your blood shed freely was the price to heal me From the beginning, you knew, what it would cost

And the Father never forcing With the Spirit hovering in Love Has a plan to be unraveled
Knowing very well what it would cost To bring the children home
“When you’re ready son, You say the words”
“Let There Be Light”

Your voice broke out like a wave of mercy You desired for us to be known
Your blood shed freely was the price to heal me From the beginning, you knew, what it would cost

It cost you everything You paid it all
It cost you everything

It wasn’t a light load to carry (3x)
Oh the Father, was searching for a bride for His son (2x) And the Son, so humble, so willing, so strong

Yeah you knew, yeah you knew what it would cost and it cost you, everything There’s nothing heavier than the cross, no nothing heavier than the cross And you took the weight of the sin of the world
Oh the mercy of the lamb (2x) Oh the mercy of the Word You are the Word
