Landlocked eyes, jealous mind that won’t stop for me now
One time find, lover’s prize that won’t stop for me
But it’s you that makes the mountains move
and sets them in their places
The day breaks, the night falls, and don’t I look the same as everyone?
Put their hope in one more kiss that won’t stop for me now
and hide their wounds inside their hearts and they hardly breathe
The day breaks, the night falls, and don’t I look the same?
But love come, and change me so I hope in you and nothing else
Stone set eyes, fixed on life that won’t stop
Behind the Song:"One of the biggest reasons why people are disillusioned with American Christianity, is that we look and live exactly like everyone else. Think about it - we drive big cars, spend money on our big houses, try hard for career advancement, gripe when any and everything doesn’t go our way, and look for happiness in finding someone to love. When unbelievers look at Christians, they see people who look somewhat like themselves, but who abstain from certain worldly pleasures. I found this out last fall when I took a good, hard look at the way I live and the way I speak. Now I’m not saying that these are all bad things in and of themselves, but there is a huge difference between me complaining about little factors in life and the Christians portrayed in Hebrews who “joyfully accepted the plundering of their property...” I hope in so many things here on earth, and those early church believers in the book of Hebrews may have valued important things in this life, but they primarily looked to, and drew their hope from the next life. I should be willing and ready to lose all things for Christ, and through it all acknowledge that this life is only transient." - Justin Anderson (
