I've always cared too much
For all my careless problems
Driving right up 65
I wanna leave it there to die
By the roadside
I finally feel alive
Whoa, whoa the time is here and now
Whoa, whoa the clouds are breaking
Whoa, this could be the end
The end of me
The road to rest is far
And I've seen my share of restless nights
And I dare myself to lose control
As if I even had a hold
Of my own life
Could I finally feel alive
Whoa, whoa the time is here and now
Whoa, whoa the clouds are breaking
Whoa, this could be the end
The end of me
Waiting on my world to fall apart
I gotta let it burn!
Whoa, whoa the time is here and now
Whoa, whoa the clouds they're breaking
Whoa, this could be the end
Whoa, this could be the end
Whoa, this could be the end
The end of me

Behind the Song:"The road life has been called many things, and narrowed down; they can be categorized good and bad. Both sets of adjectives are very likely true in the specific moments that they are spoken. The reality is, the road can bring great joy, and great pain, all in a day's time. On one of the sadder days for us as a band, we actually gave the road a present of our own, quite literally. The transmission for a motor home (that we owned for a short time) was given to an interstate. That's right. Our transmission, in different pieces, was donated to a few pieces of pavement on a highway, and it hurt. It hurt because we could not afford to gift the road such an expensive piece of machinery. As funny as it may seem, that event felt like a knife had stabbed us in our already broken backs. There was already much heartache to deal with on the business side of our ministry, and this one just one more (quite large) drop in the bucket that caused the inevitable tip. When moments like that take place in life, the heart can't help but question whether or not things will keep going as they are. For us, we didn't know if Rush Of Fools would live through the pain to even see the next chapter. Thank God, we were wrong. The proof? This song made our new record." - Rush of Fools
