Lyrics:
It's a rhythm that I can't neglect. That constant beat beating behind my chest. Causing emotions to erect that before were laid dormant or otherwise restrained until this moment. Whether it's the tempo of punk rock or the smooth sounds of R&B, I can't help but to keep moving to these majestic melodies. It doesn't matter if it's loud, distorted guitars - I'll take heavy metal or hip hop over the noise of constant gossip. This is all part of who I are.
Since we were created, we've not been able to escape it. Even our hearts have strings that could be played with. We are instruments of mercy that our Creator uses for His glory and if you've not been convinced of this revelation then tell me why you can't drown out the song in your spirit. You know you can feel it. The stomping of your feet and the clapping of your hands, the very vibrations in your voice prove you were born to make music and with it take a stand.
I've learned that this world will try to keep you quiet but please whatever you do, in times of need refrain from the silence. Your voice can bring peace or it can create violence. A weapon of mass destruction is behind your lips so proceed with caution.
Life and death are found in the power of your tongue and so often we choose words with inharmonious tones that are made by chords formed in our lungs. Even if your dialect is that of angelic decent, pleasing to all men but lack love then you are but the sound of a banging gong and though your actions be noble can mean nothing to no one.
So let it resound with those who can hear this now. You are more than what you settle for and it's imperative that your narrative be written down so others can see etched on the tablet of your heart that our own messiness, if skillfully used could make for a great work of art. I notice The Lord's timing is like a metronome to my life song which lays the foundation for the anthem that I've been singing all along.
By now, I hope you realize that you not only have a purpose but that you have the ability to conduct a symphony using both the wounds that are healed and hurting. So stop making excuses and allow God to start using the broken chords of your life to make better music.
