PHOENIX, AZ - Deep As Bones, a Christian hard rock band from Phoenix, explores the themes of unexpected consequences in their track “Shout”. Recorded at Mind’s Eye Digital Recording Studio and brought to life with the guidance of Producer/Engineer/Studio Owner, Larry Elyea, this resonant piece delves into the aftermath of seemingly harmless decisions. The collaborative production effort between Larry Elyea and Deep As Bones, alongside the distinctive lyricism of Rodney Scott Pieres, adds depth to this introspective composition.
"Shout" is a captivating performance music video filmed, directed and edited by Gavin Donnelly of Soundphoria Media at Dan Floreani's Painted Tiger Studios in Glendale, AZ.
ABOUT THE BAND - Christian hard rock band, Deep As Bones came from incarceration and addiction to redemption, sobriety and righteous living. Deep As Bones formed in 2016 inside Arizona State Prison Complex, Florence. Their self-titled debut album was created by three talented inmates - Rodney Scott Pieres, John Fabricius, and Walter Willis. Together, they crafted ten powerful songs within the prison's dedicated band room. After their release, the trio connected with renowned producer Jay Kereny (Linkin Park) at Studio 47 on Central. With the addition of Dan Johnson, former drummer of Red and Love and Death, they completed recording their debut self-titled album at TallCat Studios in Phoenix in 2020. The final touches were skillfully added by Ralph Patlan (Megadeth), who mixed and mastered the record.
Deep As Bones was thoughtfully chosen as the band's name, paying homage to Rodney Scott Pieres' Christian roots and the profound nature of God's word.
Currently, Deep As Bones consists of Rodney Scott Pieres on vocals and guitar, Wayne Rogers on guitar, Tommie Bevardos on drums, and Richard Walstad on bass.
In 2021, vocalist Rodney Scott Pieres and his wife started a non-profit in which 100% of the proceeds benefit those affected by human trafficking through their weekly outreach work with a team of volunteers.
Their captivating story has resulted in a documentary called Prison Band, gaining significant attention. The band's music is widely played on radio stations, especially in the United Kingdom, and featured on various Spotify playlists and press outlets. Rodney's nearly decade-long imprisonment and Richard serving nineteen years only add depth and power to their remarkable redemption stories. The ensemble is on a mission to share their story at film festivals across the globe through their Prison Band documentary.
