Three of them are from the UK, and one from Norway. These 4 early-20s girls combine their vocal talents with electronic synths and dance beats for a young pop feel. Their debut album, Do It Right, begins with the title track which sets the theme for the album and creates a setting reminiscent of Raze or more applicably, and all-girl version of the Backstreet Boys.
Shine does what they do right. Their voices harmonize wonderfully and the beats and melodies are catchy. "I Feel Good" slows it down a few beats for a sound which reminds me of Out of Eden. "Do You Believe in Love?" picks up where "Do It Right" left off. "More Than Words Can Say" changes direction and starts off with an acoustic guitar and piano. The girls' voices come in with a pretty melody in a style like the ballads of Backstreet and *NSync.
Shine puts forth an impressive debut album. Although the sounds and style is nothing new to the music listener's ears, Shine presents a worthy alternative to the secular pop "boy-bands" and female solo acts.
