Shane & Shane
Pages

Artist Info: Discography
Album length: 14 tracks: 60 minutes, 49 seconds
Street Date: August 28, 2007

Shane & Shane, the dynamic duo that brought you Clean and Upstairs, are back again with yet another spiritually satisfying release. Though many things have been going on in both Shane Everett and Shane Barnard's lives, the two have kept to their musical roots and continue to amaze with Pages.

Starting off Pages is "Vision of You," a song with a heartfelt cry for Jesus to fully enthrall the listener through mind and body. "We Love You Jesus" is a more upbeat number that easily fits into the worship category. "Psalm 62" brings long-time fans back to what has made Shane & Shane so appealing in the past. Most of the songs on the album ride above the mediocre worship line. The whole record is full of lyrical insight that will make anyone kneel in reverence to God. Some of the songs give off a folk-meets-soul flavor, but this is something that enhances the Pages experience. To those who thought this duo was amazing before, need to embrace themselves for a spiritual impact that is not easily brought forth by musicians with a background in worship. Many listeners might not want to give this album a spin for fear that it will not deliver like those before it, but it's safe here to say that Shane & Shane does not disappoint.

Pages was an appropriate title for this album because even though Shane & Shane are still in the same book of their lives, they have brought forth a new chapter in their career. It's a new chapter that is exciting and highly anticipated by listeners, but also one that will keep long-time fans turning the pages, eager to get to the next chapter. Go ahead and take a spiritual journey through the eyes of two very talented musicians who have shed their skin and are walking briskly towards a new place without losing sight of who they are.
