Quantity is Job 1 opens with "My Evil Plan To Save The World," a supercharged, highly sarcastic song about thinking your plans are greater than God's. It immediately gives you relief that Five Iron Frenzy have not changed their sound, have not changed their witty lyrics, but if anything, have pumped up their sound to even greater heights with great production.
The third song, "Dandelions," is the one they've been playing on radio stations lately. A slightly slower, more evenly-paced song, it talks of a mother's love for her child. The rest of Quantity is Job 1 follows up with great songs such as "Sweet Talkin' Woman" and "The Untimely Death of Brad," with great lyrics by lead singer Reese Roper, who continues to mock and make fun of others - all in good nature, of course.
Although the album only says it has eight songs, the wonderful members of FIF decided to put in about nine additional tracks. Most of them are not songs, but simply hilarious, random insanities commonly found on just about any FIF record. Overall, this is a great EP and I would recommend it to any ska fan. Two thumbs up.
