With the release of Blue Belly Sky in, I believe it was 1995, I was able to hear a good band hitting the Christian music scene. But personally, the Waiting just weren't my style, so I pretty much lost interest in the band...
In 1997, they released their second album to the Christian music scene, The Waiting, and I was rather disappointed in its sound. But with the release of their latest album, Unfazed my opinion of the band has changed... I was hardly unfazed.
But I have to be honest and say that when I first heard it, I wasn't impressed. But when I got the disc, and gave it a more critical listen, I found it in my player more quite often. The album has a good share of catchy tunes that you'll find youself singing along to for sure.
The title track, "Unfazed" kicks off the disc and sets the tone with a catchy "Hoo-oo-oo" that inevitably will have you "oo-oo-ing" along. "Easy to See" follows, another album highlight that is just as catchy as the previous track but with a higher "sing-along" factor. Other notable album highlights are the tracks "Give It Up," "The Company You Keep," and "Too Many Miles."
So if you're looking for a good power pop album to add to your collection this summer, I'd highly recommed this one.
