A "crash rickshaw" is one of those taxi cart things that Chinese people pull. Crash Rickshaw is a band who recently released their debut album on Tooth and Nail Records. Is there a difference? I'm not sure, but I do I know that almost immeasurable hopes arise with a bio slating them as a Project 86 with melody. This should have come as no surprise with Steven Dail (bassist/ guitarist) and Alex Albert (drums) from P86 and the introduction of Joby Harris on vocals.
The immeasurable hopes truly do what is stated. This album does not measure up at all. It seems extremely rushed and not together in the least. I get the underlying feeling that Dail and Albert were very busy with other things while making this album… possibly touring with a "good" band. One highlight, and only one, I can find is that Dail brings some nice licks to some stages of a few of the tracks but the pieces just don't fit in the finished product. Trying to sound like Sunny Day Real Estate, Fugazi, and at some points Jane's Addiction is extremely hard. Try again.
