If you're new to Petra, you need to start right here. Wake Up Call rocks the whole way through, with lyrics that are insightful and meaningful, great vocals, and diversified music. The only negative point is that I wish the studio budget had been higher as the quality is not quite top notch. Even still (and I think I'm quite fussy about production quality), it is probably my favorite album ever.
Take "He's Been in My Shoes" for example - a gentle acoustic song - "He's been in my shoes, been down this road before" - with brilliant lyrics. If you like 80's rock with it's stunning guitar solos, buy Wake-Up Call!
