Whatever the Weather cover
13. Life After Haircuts
Album: Whatever the Weather
Artist: Riley Armstrong

I'm just a ghetto farm kid
never who, never what, never did
'till I went to the city

come on, I'll admit
that I did, yes I did (on purpose)
wear mesh shoes to a wedding

life after haircuts is too short
the scissors don't care how it looked
before when the damage is done, I'll
be convinced this time
that I'm never leaving home
they cut my hair with a bowl

I'm just a ghetto farm kid
never cool, never hip, never fit
at my friends' Birthday parties

come on and play, they say eat cake
is there money in it? okay
I'll go home with a dollar fifty

life after haircuts is too short
the scissors don't care how it looked
before when the damage is done, I'll
be convinced this time
that I'm never leaving home
they cut my hair with a bowl
I'll have to wear a hat all the time
and that last line didn't rhyme

Written by Riley Armstrong, Flicker U.S.A. Publishing (BMI)
