D. M. Z. cover
06. No Alibi
Album: D. M. Z.
Artist: Resurrection Band

I was wrong from the start
Selfishness stubborn pride
Caught in sin, reckless ways
Self-deceived, cold inside
Sending messages of need
But I couldn't seem to leave
Silent stories wrapped in me
Oh I needed to be free

No excuse, no reply
No defense, ne reasons why
No alibi

How I needed Your grace
How I needed Your forgiveness
What I'd done I could not erase
How I needed Your deliverance

I could not return to You
Not until I faced the truth
To be honest, to be real
To give up this heart of steel
