Cutting Edge cover
10. Armed And Ready
Album: Cutting Edge
Artist: Sweet Comfort Band

I am preparing to face the fight,
Put on my helmet and fasten it tight.
Wearing the armor that keeps my heart pure,
Take up the shield that will help me endure.

My only weapon, a mighty sword,
My one allegiance to my King and Lord.
I live my life by the words that He says,
That is what gives me the cutting edge.

Armed and ready,
Ready to face the fight.
Armed and ready,
Ready to live, ready to die, ready to give my life.

The war is unseen but the battle is real,
I'm holding a weapon with power to heal.
It can divide between spirit and soul,
Cut to the heart when it reaches its goal.

The King that I serve was the Prince who was killed,
Long years ago, on a far away hill.
Now there's no need for more blood to be shed,
Since His return to life from the dead.

I'm armed and ready,
Ready to face the fight.
Armed and ready,
Ready to live, ready to die, ready to give my life.

Ready to face the fight - Oh, ready.
Ready to give my life - ready to face the fight.

Armed and ready,
Ready to face the fight.
Armed and ready,
Ready to live, ready to die.

Armed and ready,
Ready to face the fight.
Armed and ready,
Ready to live, ready to die
Ready to live, ready to die, ready to give my life
