Honest EP cover
01. Honest
Album: Honest EP
Artist: We Are Messengers

When I was younger there was nothing to be proved
I was okay having nothing cause there was nothing I could lose
But now that I'm older the pressure's caving in
All this weight on my shoulders, where do I begin?

Everyone's bleeding
But no one's gonna say that
Everyone feels it

Let's just be honest, honest
Let's just be honest, honest
That's when we're strongest, strongest
We don't need to hide all that we are inside
Let's be honest, honest
I will I promise, promise

When I was young I promised I'd always tell the truth
All I needed was my Mother to say son I'm proud of you
But when I got older the lies came creeping in
And I wanna confess it but where do I begin

Everyone's bleeding
But no one's gonna say that
Everyone feels it

Let's just be honest, honest
Let's just be honest, honest
That's when we're strongest, strongest
We don't need to hide all that we are inside
Let's be honest, honest
I will I promise, promise
That's when we're strongest, strongest
Nobody gets well keeping truth from the light
Let's be honest

Yeah, it'll take courage to admit that we all are broken
But no one's alone here, everybody out here is hurting
All this pretending ain't helping anybody get well
So raise up your voice if you got truth that you need to tell

Let's just be honest, honest
Let's just be honest, honest
That's when we're strongest, strongest
We don't need to hide all that we are inside
Let's be honest, honest
I will I promise, promise
That's when we're strongest, strongest
Nobody gets well keeping truth from the light
Let's be honest
