I Love Jesus cover
10. The 99
Album: I Love Jesus
Artist: Mac Powell

I was searching, through the day and night
Trying to fill that empty, broken place that we all feel deep inside
I got so lost, I was all alone
Before I knew it, You picked me up and carried me back home

I know You left the 99 to come and rescue me
When I had wandered way too far from where I’m supposed to be
There ain’t no one too far gone, oh Jesus I believe
‘Cause I know You left the 99 to come and rescue me

You’re my shepherd, on this winding road
You lead me by still waters where Your love restores my soul
Through the valley, and the longest night
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life

I’m the one that needed saving
You’re the only one who could
The 99 would have to wait
‘Cause You did what You said You would
I’m the one You said was worth it
When You died upon that tree
I’m the one whose chains were broken
Now and for eternity
