Shaking like a leaf
Afraid to lift my eyes
Afraid of all Your glory
Ashamed of all my pride
Then You call me in
To Your holy place
I fall down
Down on my face
And I beckon You for mercy
And I beckon You to forgive everything that I’ve ever done
And I tremble
And I tremble
I am just a man
Showered in Your grace
Your’re the Holy God
Your Glory fills this place
And I beckon You for mercy
And I beckon You to forgive everything I’ve ever done
And I tremble
I tremble

Behind the Song:'Tyler and I wrote this song in the basement of a church somewhere when we were out on the Underdog tour. I was at a piano, and he was sitting next to me with an acoustic guitar. It was recorded live in the studio so we could capture a more organic feel. It creates a moment where you feel like you’re right in the room where we recorded the song. Lyrically, it’s probably one of my favorite songs we’ve ever written. It talks about the irony of being in the presence of God and being forgiven, but still being fearful or respectful of His hugeness and greatness. It evokes that feeling of trembling – just to be in the presence of God. You might sing, or cry, or just fall down on your face in worship.' - Mark Stuart (
