Behind the Song:
'I got together with the guys I often play with, not to practice, but just to worship. We started playing these chords and a melody took form. Instinctively we all hit upon the chorus. It naturally and suddenly came together. It was obvious something special was happening. Later I went back and started thinking about the lyrics. I wanted something that would creatively express the otherness of God. We have all these descriptions of who God is, but we can't quite explain Him. He's bigger than the air we breathe. He's brighter than the blazing sun. He's stronger than the power of death. It is the friendship and the fear of knowing Him. He is an awesome God. He terrifies us, and yet He draws us close. This song was trying to find different ways of expressing the greatness and awesomeness of who God is.' - Tim Hughes
