The Hunger cover
04. Forgive Me
Album: The Hunger
Artist: Seven Day Jesus

So far away from blue skies
And running right into the rain, again
How quickly I forget your shelter
And in fear I run away, again
Despairingly along, there has to be another yellow day
I don't know what I have to give, but Lord I give it anyway
I need You Lord so now forgive me

Forgive me

Although I love You Father
I, forgot to eat my bread today, again
My spirit seems to be so strong
But my flesh is so weak, again
I need to know You Lord
So tired of waiting for another day
To draw a line now step across
I can't see, but You're still there
I'm following by faith, so lead me

Lead me
So lead me
Lead me

All I've been through
Still I sell you for much less than thirty pieces
And now I want to tell You how I love You
Just how I feel inside

Behind the Song:
"I was alone with nothing else but my guilt and remorse. Nothing to say on my behalf, having only one essential need, I asked for forgiveness." - Brian McSweeney (Seven Day Jesus)
