2nd Avenue cover
07. Don't Turn Away
Album: 2nd Avenue
Artist: Idle Cure

Looking back at her expression
Hoping that she might see
Eternal life
A sure foundation
And the change in me
Anxious eyes
With borrowed pretension
She said "I've heard it before"
Will she believe
My deepest intention
And what I'm living for

He changed my spirit
He took control
I gave my heart he saved my soul...
That's why I want you to know

Today... I pray... don't turn away
The more you hear it
You've got to give Him your heart
Today... I pray... don't turn away
Today... today... today...

I realize that her decision
Will rest in the hands of the Lord
Faithful to my own conviction
Heaven waits at the door
Hearin' a voice
The Spirit is calling
I pray that your heart might see
There is a way
To change your forever
Setting the burden free

He'll change your spirit
He'll take control
You give your heart
He'll save your soul

That's why I want you to know

Today... I pray... don't turn away
The more you hear it
You've got to give Him your heart
Today... I pray... don't turn away
Today... today... today... don't turn away

We are the reason
Jesus came
He died to gain our freedom
He is the hope
The chosen way
Don't turn Him away
