GS Megaphone
Beautiful World

Artist Info: Discography
Album length: 13 tracks: 59 minutes, 46 seconds
Street Date: July 8, 2003

READER RATING:

GS Megaphone has shown me how there can be such great bands out there in the world that don't get the recognition they deserve. Their musical creativity and drive to stand out on their album Beautiful World really show with each and every song.

This band was ahead of its time, even now, pushing the boundaries of what grunge music can be, using such unique vocal ranges and rhythms to make a beautiful sound along with the heaviness of the instruments.

GS Megaphone was a short lived band in the Christian music world, yet they showed true potential in what direction the genre could push toward in the future. Unfortunately, the band didn't go very far, for many reasons I'm sure, some I am still unaware of. I hope by some miracle, God brings this amazing band back together to finish what they started, as I truly believe there is no band quite like them.

Beautiful World, for me, represents Christianity in a way that shows both the power God has over everything, and what we as people can conquer in our lives with Him in it. Also, "Venom," "Beautiful World," "Sing Until the Song Sings You," "Dream" and "Reformation" all stood out to me the most.
