Back in 2013, this compilation of 11 Newsboys "greatest hits" was released. I was intrigued. I remember buying it right away.
The album starts off with the 2003 worship hit, "He Reigns," a kind of odd choice to start with. It's then followed by "Million Pieces," which is an interesting choice for the number 2 spot. "Shine" is obviously on here, but at number 3 on the tracklist. That is unusual for this song, which is typically reserved for the number 1, 2, 4, or 5 spot, which is why "He Reigns" being the first song feels out of place.
Another interesting choice was a track from the album, Thrive, which is "Lord (I Don't Know)." It's weird to see this because I've never seen it on any other Newsboys "best of" compilations, like Shine - The Hits or Greatest Hits (2007). It's a good, solid track, but I would've preferred something more upbeat along the lines of "Something Beautiful" or "Love Liberty Disco," the latter of which I've only ever seen on Newsboys' The Ultimate Collection.
Overall, despite some odd selections here, I would have to say it's a good buy for any new fan or returning fan of Newsboys!
