I am amazed by the talent of these three guys. With the three of them combined they have a very wide range of vocal styles, and they put them to good use on this album.
Some of the songs, such as "Change," "Hold us down," "Breakaway," and "Still Cries" are a heavy rock similar to Creed. Most of the rest are a rapcore style similar to P.O.D. "Listen" and "No Reply" are pretty much hardcore songs. There is also a fun reggae song titled "Sweet New Found Joy." At the end of the album there is an added treat as they perform track seven, "Listen" in Spanish, as well as "Sweet New Found Joy," which sounds completely natural when sung in Spanish.
Most of the songs have a clear Christian message, and those that do not are about personal situations like "Still Cries," which is about a girl who's husband left her, and she wishes that he would come back just to meet his son. I prefere Life Outside the Toybox over their newer one, The Beauty of The Unknown, for its varity of styles. This is one rockin' album.
