Monday Morning is a band based in North Carolina that seems to specialize in festivals. They have shared a gala of stages with the likes of Rebecca St. James, Jars of Clay, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, and many more. With their first EP but second release, this is their initial radio friendly effort.
With only three songs, it's hard to get a feel for Monday Morning, but I can tell that there is definitely something here. "Amazed" is a bug that invades your soul and is nothing but a flawlessly crafted pop tune. Add a beeping noise where you first think your hearing things, and you have a hint of originality. "Come Rain" vocally resembles Jason Wade of Lifehouse while "Running Away" is a gritty summertime track where both are catchy and decent.
Monday Morning has some bright things ahead and with more material reminiscent to the quality of "Amazed," I see nothing but amazing things. I guess with where Monday Morning is headed, that bleak day will soon seem a bit brighter.
