The verse above reveals that there exists "a private place" reserved for those who love and honor God. Here, they draw close to Him, and receive "revelation-secrets" that give them access to divine promises and blessings.

Years ago, I took a nasty fall in the bath tub, and immediately, I began experiencing dizziness and vision problems. My first instinct was to pray, and the Holy Spirit promptly brought to my remembrance some words of Jesus to His disciples - "Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you." (Luke 10:19 NASB) I took hold of the power behind this word of promise, and with each passing moment, I felt better and better. I was amazed when I had no lasting effects from the fall.

Later that week, I found out that a dear Christian lady I knew had taken a nasty fall on her lawn. She suffered multiple injuries, and I began earnestly praying for her recovery. As I prayed for her, the Lord showed me that she and I had different outcomes from our falls because I had gotten a revelation of God's promise of protection, and I had received divine intervention. Even though I had fallen on a much harder surface, my recovery was instant and lasting.

The Bible says: "The secret [of the wise counsel] of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will let them know His covenant and reveal to them [through His word] its [deep, inner] meaning." (Psalm 25:14 AMP) It is "through His Word" and His Spirit that the Lord reveals the deep meaning of His covenant promises. He shows us how to apply the power and benefits of His promises to our lives and situations, so that we can be the overcomers Jesus died for us to be. It all begins with having a deep reverence for the Lord and His Word, and learning to "sit near Him and receive the revelation-secrets of His promises." God has much to show and tell you today. Are you prepared to listen?

Prayer: Lord, teach me how to draw close to You on a regular basis to receive "revelation secrets" that give me access to Your divine promises and blessings. Guard me from all doubt and unbelief, and remind me to spend time in Your faith-building Word each day. Thank You that as I set myself to hear and to heed Your voice, You will make me the overcomer I am destined to be in Christ!
