Absolutes

Release Date: May 6, 1997

Stavesacre's first three albums are fantastic. Friction was rough, but loaded with potential. Absolutes was the next level of building and growth before the pinnacle of Speakeasy. While these are my feelings, many Stavesacre fans will debate the band's best album - many going with Absolutes. The album starts out so powerfully with "Shiv" and later crescendoes with the extremely moving "Acquiesce." Mark Salomon has released a lot of albums with a lot of bands throughout his career, but Absolutes is certainly one of his best. Always a bit underground in the Christian music world, Stavesacre is a band that I wish a lot of people would discover.
