Awake

Release Date: Fall 2015
For Today have been the center of some strange controversy as of late, but you can't argue with the product they deliver. I absolutely fell in love with Fight the Silence and the premise behind the album. Not everyone shared the love, but it just sounds like a special record when I listen to it. I'd love to see the guys get out of their comfort zone a bit with this record and deliver something a little different and more interesting from a musical viewpoint. This is one of the most awaited albums of the year for me.

Ever since the addition of Mattie Montgomery, For Today has taken off with an incredible amount of force, becoming the poster band for the Christian metal scene. The 2014 release of Fight the Silence was incredibly well-received by fans and critics alike, and we can only hope that Awake will continue this trend.

In spite of the strange departure of Sam Penner and recent allegations of former member Mike Reynolds, one thing is for sure; For Today makes some of the finest heavy music in the Christian scene.
