Kings Theory is a fresh hip-hop duo from New York with two brand new singles. These mark their fifth and sixth singles overall with their seventh release in March, 2026. "Faith" and "Amazing" show the two sides that Kings Theory brings to the table. "Faith" is on the conscious hip-hop side of what they offer, and "Amazing" is on the afrobeats side of the spectrum.

"Faith" features lyrics about keeping your trust and faith in God no matter what. In the first verse, K. Sparks spits, "I've got faith to move a mountain like a mustard seed," but then flashes back to more difficult times. He talks about his mother in the hospital, the death of his brother, and his inability to handle those emotions. He raps, "I bought an all-white coupe with cream interior to fill that void and loss," when speaking on how he improperly handled these feelings. However, Sparks goes on to point back to God as the basis for our strength and peace. Lyrically, it's a call for believers to stay in Christ no matter what they may be going through in their life. It's also a great beat and production by Navi Beats. The track hits quickly at just over two minutes, but it hits hard as well.

"Amazing" brings the afrobeats with the Caribbean and dancehall influences being readily apparent. K. Sparks opens his verse with, "My God is amazing I don't need no favors. Flesh of flesh we blessed and highly favored, light work." However, the main hook of the songs really embodies what it's about. She sings, "My God too amazing, you know they feel me. Anytime I call on He always me. From night to the morning blessings around me. Every single stop where I take yeah they guide me." The production here is smooth. From the acoustic guitar, to the sax, to even the steel drum, it blends together nicely. It's a solid track to sit juxtaposed to "Faith."

These are two solid singles from a new artist that each bring their own sounds. Looking for a more straightforward hip-hop song? "Faith" could be your new jam. Want a little more flavor in your music? "Amazing" has that for you. Everything here is done well. K. Sparks has a solid flow and Navi Beats knows how to produce a great sounding hip-hop record. Kings Theory gives me hope for the future of Christian hip-hop. You can't ask for much more than a solid flow, Christ-centric lyrics, great bars, and solid production. These guys have been on a tear, so keep your eyes peeled for more new music at any time.

JFH Staff's Second Opinion

Admittedly, I haven't really kept up with K.Sparks since his 2016 album, Seasons Theme, but I did really enjoy his flow and lyricism atop the jazzy East coast hip hop. I was pleasantly surprised to hear from him again, though Kings Theory is a bit of a different setting than I expected. Recent singles "Amazing" and "Faith" feature K.Sparks' killer rhymes, but set to a really chill afrobeat sound. The beats are there for sure, but they're way smoother than traditional boom bap. "Faith" is my favorite of the two, as it bears more of the hip hop sound, more emphasis on K.Sparks' rapping, and a more interesting instrumental. Most modern rap music isn't really made for me, but Kings Theory, so far, seems to be a project that I'm going to want to keep an eye on. - Review date: 3/8/26, written by Scott Fryberger of Jesusfreakhideout.com

  • Jesus Freak Hideout (Michael Weaver): Can you talk about the name Kings Theory and what that means?

K.Sparks: Kings Theory is a movement that represents discipline, dedication, and faith. We're living in times where social media causes people to want instant gratification, and it's easy to be consumed by things that don't matter. The premise for Kings Theory is to speak truth to power for the everyday person that strives for better. We're all human, so sometimes we miss the mark, but ultimately it's about how you recover. That's what Kings Theory represents. Real people dealing with real issues that strive to be better. It's never perfection, but always progress.

  • JFH (Michael): Did K. Sparks and Navi meet more recently, or has this been a more long-standing relationship? What's the story of you two coming together?

K.Sparks: We've been friends for a long time. Independently, we've always been successful within the music industry, working with major labels and recording artists, ghostwriting, producing, etc. However, recently we formed Kings Theory to have a creative space collectively where we focus on mission-based music.

  • JFH (Michael): You guys hit the ground running. Your first single dropped at the end of 2025, and you've already released six this year. Did you have a stack of songs ready to go when you started releasing, or have you just been creating this quickly?

K.Sparks: We hit the ground running. Our work ethic is consistent, so we're constantly creating. Once we locked in, we created several records. To date, we created well over 25 songs ready to go. We're aiming to push boundaries musically, having an eclectic palette of genres such as hip-hop, R&B, Afro-beats, reggaeton, etc. However, the overall mission remains the same. Message music that resonates with people.

  • JFH (Michael): I appreciate your approach on "Faith." There are so many songs about having faith but provide nothing but a positive spin lyrically. However, you approach it from the perspective of having faith in the hardest times. A mother's illness or a brother's death are no easy matters to deal with. Can you talk about what this one means to you?

K.Sparks: My mother was huge on faith. She always reiterated the importance of having a strong relationship with God and believing everything will work out. Those early teachings helped me throughout life, especially dealing with so much loss. My mother died from breast cancer, and a year later my brother's dead body was found in South Jamaica, Queens. I had to head down to the morgue to identify his dead body. Those were dark times. But ultimately, having faith helped me navigate.

  • JFH (Michael): Afrobeats admittedly isn't my normal cup of tea (I'm a boom bap guy at heart), but I really found myself enjoying "Amazing." The production is really great, and I love how smooth it sounds, especially the saxophone. What were your thoughts going into this one, and who did you get to sing on it?

K.Sparks: Navi normally pushes boundaries on the production side. He had a vision for us musically to experiment with the AfroBeats lane. Creatively, from an artistic standpoint, I made it a point to rap about maintaining a sense of purpose and seeing that regardless of what we encounter, God is always amazing. Sometimes we don't understand why certain things happen, but ultimately everything works in our favor. The singer on the track is a talented artist from Philly named Jazzy. Vocally, she really brought the chorus and bridge to life. Amazing was our first time recording an Afrobeats record, and we're proud of the final result.

  • JFH (Michael): You use the lyrics "blessed and highly favored" on both tracks. What about that phrase that speaks to you personally?

K.Sparks: I think that in life we always have two choices. It's either to embrace the negative or be positive. I choose to keep the perspective that no matter what challenges we face in life, we are always blessed and highly favored. No matter what happens, we have to retain that mindset. Additionally, even if things don't appear to work out, ultimately they're always working out for our good.

  • JFH (Michael): What does the future hold for Kings Theory? Do you plan to keep dropping singles, or have there been any thoughts about a full album?

K.Sparks: We've been in a creative space lately. Focusing on making the best music possible for listeners. Presently, we tentatively will release our full-length album in August 2026. Everyone can keep an eye out for some huge news in the future as well.
