King's Collective, 'In Your Name - Single'

King's Collective is just that: a conglomerate of musicians, singers, and songwriters that make up a group on a mission to inspire listeners to pursue a life of "power" and "purpose." Based out of Maui, Hawaii, and King's Cathedral & Chapel sites, the collective is formed from over 500 church locations worldwide. With each member serving in a location, their music is grounded in the trenches of ministry.

This serves them well as they look to empower believers to remember that God still does the miraculous, with their rousing single "In Your Name." The song has a typical congregational sonic, setup by soft piano and synth pads combined with the opening lines acting as the thesis of the song, "I believe in miracles/I believe in signs and wonders/Blind eyes open in Your name."

From there, the chorus begins the slow build toward a worshipful crescendo courtesy of bright chiming guitars in the latter half as they further declare, "There's healing in Your name/Freedom in Your name/I come alive, I'm alive/All I am to bring You praise/There's victory in Your name/Salvation in Your name/I come alive, I'm alive/All I am to bring You praise."

Then the powerful bridge (and the biggest highlight of the song) states jubilantly, "No one higher/No power greater/Demons flee/At Your name/None can contain You/Jesus my breakthrough/Victory's mine/By Your name/No one higher/No power greater/Demons flee/At Your name/None can contain You/Jesus my breakthrough/Victory's mine/By Your name/The victory's mine/By Your name."

All in all, although "In Your Name" does little to mix up the congregational worship song formula, it remains a strong admonition to embrace the truth that believers should live like they serve the victor. This should, in turn, produce hearts of gratitude and fortitude to keep advancing the Kingdom. May we never grow weary of encouragements like this. "In Your Name" would be a perfect addition to your favorite worship playlist right next to contemporaries like Hillsong Worship, Elevation, and Life Church Music.
