Dan Ferrari is a singer/songwriter from New Jersey. When Ferrari isn't leading worship, or singing and playing his own material, he is busy writing and co-writing songs for others -- one of his biggest being "Pendulum" by Tatiana. On top of many other accomplishments, Ferrari even had the opportunity to play for the Pope while in Rome! Dan's latest solo release,
Unrepeatable, features ten upbeat acoustic pop and worship tunes. Overall, there is a good blend of worshipful songs, like "Give You Glory" and "All the Way Close," along with more fun pop ditties like "This Is God Lovin' You" and "Listen to the Lord." The album starts with the jovial worship number "Your Love Will Find A Way," in which Ferrari sings, "
Come down, come dwell within our hearts, Lord." "This is God Lovin' You" begins with a sound and vibe that just screams CCM radio. The song is a catchy little tune that shows Ferrari knows how to write songs that the masses will undoubtedly love. The title track speaks to the uniqueness and individuality of people, saying we are all "unrepeatable." Though the song has an extremely positive message, the verses feature a slightly awkward vocal section and drags lyrics out and repeats them throughout. "Give You Glory," "Listen to the Lord," and "He First Loved Us" are three more radio ready songs. The former and latter are a little more towards the Chris Tomlin side of things, while the middle rings with similarities to an artist like Francesca Battistelli. "Prayers to Our Lady" is a song to the Mother Mary and embraces Ferrari's Catholic faith. The album closes out with the faster "Word Goes On" -- likely the album's best -- and two slower tracks in "Fall to Me" and "All the Way Close." Dan Ferrari's experience in songwriting is evident and he knows how to churn out songs that will be well-received; most of the entirety of
Unrepeatable could easily be a hit on your local Christian radio station. With a voice that is reminiscent of a personal favorite, Grover Levy, and an arsenal of catchy tunes, Dan Ferrari seems poised to break into the spotlight very soon. Fans of modern contemporary Christian music should definitely give
Unrepeatable a listen.
