Frozen chosen
Or religious right
Names are up to you
But I just feel like
We've forgotten where we're going
We've completely lost the way
There's only one of those
And He calls you today

'Cause you hear America first
And you nod your head
Afraid that any more would make you
Just like one of them
But silently you listen
And silently agree
That number one is number one
You nod your head

Your talking heads are funny
They say the things you say
They think the way you think
They even bow their heads to pray
What happened to our Jesus?
He's smaller than before
His head is bobbing
Stuck on our dashboard

'Cause you hear America first
And you nod your head
Afraid that any more would make you
Just like one of them
But silently you listen
And silently agree
That number one is number one
You nod your head

Won't you give up all your idols?
Lay down your success
Share the good news
From east to west
We are on a mission
Not to be the best
But to show the love of God
To a world of unrest

When you hear America first
Don't nod your head
It's simply not the mission
This world is not the end
Kindly you can listen
And kindly disagree
And tell them of The Kingdom
That's much more than you and me

Kindly you can listen
And kindly disagree
And tell them of The Kingdom
That's much more than you and me
