All the times that were tough, like junior college in the Spring,
Playing show in run-down taco shops and the rec hall in my town.

I’ll read about it in books and magazines.

I can’t help but sit and complain when I’m the opening band,
But looking back on today, it wasn’t all so bad.
I’ll use it well and forget my lack of common sense;

My car is out of gas and the air-conditioning doesn’t work.
Teaching Sunday School when I can’t say I have it all together.
Yesterday, driving home from a trip to Half Moon Bay,
